Either access Sand Wash from UT Highway 40 or UT Highway 6. Either way will involve driving quite a few miles on dirt roads. Most people access Sand Wash from the Myton turn off on Highway 40, just east of Duchesne. Allow an hour or two of dirt road drive time once you leave the pavement.
