The putin for this stretch is located just below the Hells Canyon Dam near the Hells Canyon Visitor Center.  To get to the ramp travel east from Halfway, OR to Oxbow, OR on Highway 86.  Once in Oxbow, cross the river onto the Idaho side and follow the river/road for 22 miles to the dam and then another mile or so to the visitor center below the dam to the visitor center and boat ramp.
