Due to negotiated dam releases (thanks to american whitewater org) this run is doable again. You should be a good class IV boater befor attempting this run and expect some V conditions based on water level.

Just north of Grace, ID access the river where Highway 34 crosses the bear river. There is a small access road on the south side of the river that heads over the the dam. Put in somewhere here.

From Grace, ID, head west on Center Street/Turner Road. Turn left on River road and follow it to the right hand turn off to the Grace power plant. Head upstream a little of the power plant to a parking lot and take out area.

This is a long and rocky rapid with a pool at the bottom of it. Because of the length and the features in the river this is considered a class V rapid.

A short class III rapid exists above Boo Boo with a eddy on river right. Hit the eddy and decide if you want to run this or walk it.
