In winter 2014 the wave was reworked. The Wave now features a beautiful kayaker wave river left and a fun surfers wave on river right.
Wave Reports:
Below 3.5k: Wave is barely functional at these flows. Epic front surfing, spins, and occasional end moves are most common on the Boat Chute side.
3.5k to 5k: the middle waves start coming in, access is excellent, never a hike. The center is not as retentive as it looks, but most will find it still to steep and hole like. Pretty good wave at these flows, worth a drive!
5k to 12k: Prime flows! Eddy access remains! Call in sick, anything is possible at these flows.
13k to19k: Eddy access is gone, hike or use tow rope if available. Wave can give up big airscews etc but also become more flushy and surgy. Good luck and go big!
20k+: Pretty flushy for playboats. Few kayakers will find it rewarding. Surfers rejoice as river right offers excellent rides!
