This short section of whitewater starts about a 1 mile up CR80 from its interseciton with Hwy 36. The run provides fun class III+ whitewater that offers the feeling of creekboating without the difficulty or danger. Always be alert for wood on this run. Some class III boaters may be caught off guard by the continous and narrow nature of the riverbed. The section ends at the Apple Valley bridge, but most boaters will continue on to do the Shelly's Cottages section below and into the play holes in town.
