Big Thompson - Idylwilde Section

Description

Run from below Idylwilde Dam to the next dam downstream.

Fun run that starts out with the crux. Put in directly below the dam and peel out into a 1/4 mile of class IV read and run. Blue House Hole can dish out a beating or a swim to those that choose the wrong line or take a poor boof stroke. Bridge rapid leads into a right turn where you want to take the left channel. One more stair stepping class IV rapid then a class III walled in section to the take out pool above the dam.

Take out: Cherry Store Dam
