Little Deschutes River - Roseland Park to Deschutes River

Description

This section of the Littel Deschutes offers many possible day runs as well as an overnight or weekend trip if you plan carefully. Roseland park is the first recommended area to where the river becomes navigable by watercraft but lots of fishing options exist much further upstream of Roseland Park.

This river isn't known for it's whitewater and the fishing can be from dismal to OK. However, if you want a classic Oregon scenic relaxed float and catch a little fishing while you meander down river, the Little Deschutes is a good option when flows are agreeable.

Put-In	Roseland Park	Roseland park lies to the west of the Little Deschutes and is located just off of Burgess Road. This facility contains a small dirt lot with walk on access to the little deschutes. No ramp, so expect to do a carry to the river with whatever type of watercraft you choose to float. Put-In	Bridge Drive Access	Just north of the bridge where Bridge Drive crosses the river is another primitive access point for the little deschutes.	No	No	No	All Vehicles
Put-In	La Pine State Recreation Access	Primitive river access on the Southeast side of the bridge.	No	No	No	All Vehicles
Put-In	Montgomery Bridge Access	Another primitive access spot on the north of the bridge on river left.	No	No	No	All Vehicles
Put-In	Hashknife Access	A small one lane ramp leads to the river on the southwest side of the Hashknife Bridge.	No	No	Yes	All Vehicles
Take-Out	Harper's Bridge Access	This is actually located on the main Deschutes river just below the confluence of the main and little. Access is on river right on the upstream side of the bridge. A primitive dirt ramp is available here.	No	No	Yes	All Vehicles
