Lower Gore is really more of a short warm up to Dowd Chute, as Dowd Chute is required after running this .5 mile section. Mind the game fence which may be partially submerged but has slow moving water and good eddy access. Just before the confluence of the Eagle above Dowd Chute the railroad tressle may be too low to pass under at middle to higher flows. This section is easily, though breifly, seen from I-70 Eastbound above Dowd Chute. What you see from the hwy is the crux of this section.
