The Gun Range - First drop
The first drop can be a powerful class 4 style wave that is a great surf at 300 cfs. and up. It cranks just about all of the river flow up till about 750 cfs. The eddy is long and powerful and the unskilled play boater can expect to swim on this eddy. Skilled play boaters can ofter have a 3 or 4 attempt roll due to the long powerful eddy line. After 750 the rest of the drop opens up and the drop is a bit easier to navigate and the eddy not as challenging. The hole remains fast but doesn't tend to increase in difficulty to much.

There are two upright rocks. Go dead center between the rock goal posts and all is well. Right or left is rocky and may lead to a broken paddle or worse.

The Gizmo - Forth Drop
Powerful surf wave that requires an active agressive surf above 2000 cfs. The wave can be caught from the eddy at flows above 2000 cfs but it takes a little bit of work. Best way in at higher flows is to catch the river right eddy and sneak onto the first foam pile. Then surf towards center and paddle into the BROWN. A good skirt is a must as the lesser skirts tend to implode.
Best surf just off of middle river right with plenty of foam for loops, back surfs, cartwheels etc. . River middle can be a green tongue that you can surf the center but to much green to loop or cartwheel without effort.

Wave 6
Great friendly easy surfing wave where you can loop, cartwheel, side and back surf at your leisure. River right can be a tad sticky at certain flows but nothing of note. Left of center is the best surfing spot to hit loops and spins.
Above 1000 cfs the whole feature can be surfed. Very friendly and easy surf.

Third drop
Great for surfing (board or kayak), fun easy wave. River right around 1200 cfs can get sticky and bouncy by the eddy but just head to towards center and things smooth out quickly.
Read and run. You can drop in from above or use the eddy service.

Left hook - Drop 7
Munchy crunchy and punchy. Fun wave to surf that can grab you and get challenging at higher flows. Especially river left. It is sticky enough to easily roll up in the hole and stay if you flip. Swimmers above 2000 cfs have been known to take a bit of a thrashing if they don't cannonball out of the feature.
This hole will tweak a shoulder river left above 1200 cfs if you rely on the high brace vs the low brace. It is very fun to surf for the intermediate surfer but can test the metal of the up and coming with its strong Left Hook.
You can easily portage river right or scout. Also read and run at all flows. A strong forward paddle will punch the feature. River left is quite a bit more retentive than river middle. River right is the easiest way through at higher flows.

Take me home - Drop 8
Nice wave train home when taken from river left. The flow takes you from river left to river right and allows you to exit the river in an eddy behind the second boulder. Friendly and fun run. DO NOT run river middle or right. Steeper pourover style drop that has hammer the non-paddler. It has sucked in more experienced paddlers who can from below the feature. An avid class IV creeker had his bell rung on this one after getting stuck in the feature. When he pulled his skirt the was thrown down and pile driven into the bottom of the river and got his bell rung on the rocks.
You can scout from river right or stay 15 feet off of the levy wall on river left and just read and run. Do not run middle or river right unless you have a fair bit of speed and skill.
