This is the hardest stretch on the Greys with the crux being the Snaggletooth Rapid. Scout from the road.

About 3.5 miles up the Greys River Road is an open meadow area with a side road leading off to the south. Where this road crosses the river you can put in here for the lower greys. There is plenty of open and free camping in this area, although it can get crowded.

About a mile out of Alpine, WY the Greys River Road will cross the Greys River for the first time. Just after the bridge is a small campground. Take out here or you'll end up paddling in the Palisade Reservoir.
