Sunny and mellow float. The river corridor is surprisingly intact despite extensive developmnent and commercial operations. Good wildlife viewing including Bald and Golden eagles, Cormorant and Great Blue Heron rookerys, deer, foxes, and sometimes moose. The Rifle boat ramp can be problematic as it sits in an eddiy shortly after a four lane bridge rquiring an awkward move to be river left above the bridge pylons. The ramp is slated for replacement down river in 2016.
