Put in located in Scanlon, north of off Hwy. 61 at the MN Power boat ramp.
Rapids are as follows: 1st hole (II), 2 hole (II-III-), Hidden Hole (III-), Electric Ledge (III-III+), Little Kahuna (III).
After Electric Ledge, flow splits around a large island. Little Kahuna lies in the river left channel, while river right is Boat Beater Falls. Boat Beater is runnable at certain levels, but looks like piton city at low flows..get out and take a look.
Follow signs on reservoir to the UMD Kayak and Canoe Outpost.
