Cool - I just joined this site and am very new kayaker. The Skykomish runs right through the town I live - Sultan. I just bought a Pyranha S8 play boat, and have done my first 10 or so rolls. Just got a drysuit and am finally outfitted to start paddling in the river. Have been hitting a few pool sessions mostly since I got the boat a few weeks ago. A lady I am borrowing a paddle from told me about the site so just checking it out.

Hopefully I will see you on the river soon! :)

There is new wood in the runout to log limbo. It is stuck between the left bank and the center boulder right above the takeout. It completely closes down the left channel and forces you to go around the rock on the right. It is easily visible from the river-right eddy at the bottom of the rapid and is also easy to see from shore. I also put an update on the river description page.

It looks like it was high enough around 2am Sunday. I'd guess it was in for an hour or so. By the time I got up there it was around 8500 CFS, so it wasn't in then. I heard there were some river gnomes doing some work in that area when the water was super low . The river right wave (still trying to name it jacuzzi wave) was in at the 8500 level and apparently was quite good.

Someone broke into my van this weekend at Hobuck and stole my waveski and surfboard! I'm hoping to get the waveski back, it's a custom Ken DeBondt 7'6" I will try and post a picture, it looks like a totem pole with 2 Steller's Jays, a raven, 2 salmon and a wolf.
If anyone sees it on Craigslist or anywhere else please let me know!
Thanks
