Hi, the state is trying to get a bill passed that would allow Dept. of Ecology to bypass minimum instream flow laws in favor of economic interests and there's an easy way you can help.

There is a really short form that just requires typing your address, clicking 'Verify District', and clicking "Oppose" if you are against this bill, SB 5003.  In the comment box "I oppose this bill" is sufficient.

Link is here:  https://app.leg.wa.gov/pbc/bill//5003

This would have a potentially HUGE effect on the Sunset Falls hydro project approval which is still crawling forward even though financially the hydro project would be a money pit for Snohomish County ratepayers, the instream flows are the biggest stumbling block right now.

Thanks for your support and SYOTR.

Hey there, a guy who might have been canoeing went missing sometime between Dec. 29 and Jan. 17, when his truck was found by Lowe Creek which feeds into the Skykomish just south of the bridge below Money Creek. (Pics below.)

Family says they're not sure if he was in his green flat-bottomed canoe or not, and he could also have just taken off into the woods, but if any of you are on that stretch below Money Creek campground or anywhere that you see a canoe or canoe paddle please give a heads up. Or Illinois plates, apparently he took them off the truck to keep it from getting stolen.
